Thank you for choosing Alme Design Co. to stage your home! We are honored to be invited into your life during a time that can be stressful and unnerving. We have staged over 1,100 homes and worked with over 600 Realtors. There are not many things that surprise us anymore!
We would like to offer a few tips on how you can prepare for us to come take over your house. If you’ve never had your house staged before, just picture ants at a picnic, descending on anything not nailed down, carrying things off 10x their body weight…that’s Alme in a nutshell. We’re freakishly strong, determined, and will makeover your house so quickly and furiously that it will soon feel like someone else lives there. Our job is to make your house the crown jewel on the market, the best product among other products. In order to assist us, we would like to ask a few things:
1. Clean the house. Please assume we’ll move furniture, so, if possible, clean under and around furniture. Your house cannot be too clean. Really.
2. Do the homework Katie gives you. Kaite, is our Director of Staging Operations and has been with Alme since the beginning. If she suggests removing items, painting walls, upending rooms, please do those things.
3. Pack away valuables and family photos.
4. Provide us with a space where we can stash any of your items that don’t fit the staging plan (a space in the garage or basement for furniture, empty shelving in closets for knick knacks, etc).
5. If you will not be home, please make sure we can gain entry to the house and that any animals are contained.
We are definitely aware that selling your home can be a difficult and emotional process and we always do our best to be respectful and understanding in your home. Our goal in staging is to make your house appeal to the buyer demographic. There’s a chance that you wouldn’t pick the same furnishings or artwork, but please understand that these items are only temporary and the overall look will help the house sell faster and for more money.
