First of all, we’d like to congratulate you on living through the selling process! We know that living in a staged home, while beautiful, is not always practical or conducive to life. So, well done.
Now that it’s finished, we’ll come collect all of our staging materials so you can stop worrying about them. Just think, no more sleepless nights wondering if the kids used the fancy, white towels or actually tried to eat the faux fruit. (we have a collection of fake fruit with bite marks)
There are a couple of things you can do to make the de-staging process easier, ensure that nothing gets left behind, and keep us from inadvertently packing anything.
- Unearth any items you’ve stashed away for protection. Please pull our things out of closets and cupboards before we get there. As much we love a good scavenger hunt, you’d probably rather it not be in your house.
- If you have pets, please vacuum our rugs and furniture.
- If you or your Realtor added anything to the house (lamps, plants, towels, etc.), please put those items aside and label them. As it turns out, we all shop in the same places and it’s near impossible to remember every little item we’ve put in a house, especially if things are moved from our original placement. Separating items is extremely helpful for us.
And lastly, we would ask that you be flexible with us on our arrival schedule. Often times, we are de-staging multiple properties in one day and can’t always time things down to the minute. You don’t have to be home for a de-stage as long as we can access the property.
